Dear Parents,
Research indicates that all young people experience learning losses when they do not engage in educational activities during the summer. On average, students lose approximately 2.6 months of grade-level equivalency in mathematical computation skills over the summer months. Some students can lose about 2 months of reading achievement.
We encourage your child to take advantage of summer learning opportunities. The K-5 and 6-12 summer learning loss resource links below provide access to skills-based activities that support sustained summer growth in both numeracy and literacy.
